Pride and Prejudice - Enjoyed it with the kids

We just finished watching the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with the kids last night (1995 IMDB). We enjoy each one for different reasons. It is a real treat and very satisfying that the kids really like the movies as well. The 1995 version 'tastes' more like reality, in the settings, and physical situations, and the characters are more fully developed.

The 2005 Universal Pictures version with Keira Knightly (official commercial website) was more dramatic in some ways, typical of our decade. A little more romantic and dramatic, and the dance scenes are great. I especially love Mr. Darcy's line "You have bewitched me body and soul, and I love, I love, I love you and I never wish to be parted from you from this day on." Romantic as all getout! This is the version we own.
